Floor Tom Rattle

How can i fix this.

Floor tom rattle.

We have sm57 s on all the toms and the snare. And one to go between my two floor toms. Anyone have any ideas what this is or if this is normal. Is my floor tom not tuned right on my drums.

2 people found this helpful. It totally makes a rattling noise and i hate it. Small and it works. However the 14 floor tom has an odd rattle from the head when played.

Due to a cramped space i have always had to have my 18 on my left side next to the the snare. You get soniclear bearing edges suspension mounts and floor tom feet for impressive tone and tuneability. Not a buzzing but it s really odd. When placing mics and setting levels the other day i noticed a rattle and after hunting found it came from 2 of the sm57 s.

I will definitely buy a couple more one to go between my mounted toms to keep the occasional rattle away i keep them really close.
