The horizontal planes that define the view range are top cut plane and bottom. Sometimes when we change the view range we see other components disappear from our floor plan. Everything between the cut plane and the bottom will display in light lines. The view range is a set of horizontal planes that control the visibility and display of objects in a plan view.

For a floor plan top defines the elevation from which the model is being viewed. Go to the floor plan view and click in the view range menu in the instance properties. Set a level and a height offset for each of these parameter. Click the edit button for the view range parameter.
